"Love is a game that two can play and both win." - Eva Gabor

Love is about the only game that two people can play, and both players become winners. Love isn't a competition (even though some people can look at it as one). There needs to be an equal amount of give and take, with both parties experiencing both sides of it. If there ever is a winner in a relationship, it isn't one based on 100% love. It may seem like that at first but over time the truth will reveal itself. One person will begin to resent the other... and with that brick loose the wall will crumble. In a true game of love, the game will never end. It will continue on forever with no wins or losses, just an even tie throughout.

"Don't say you love me unless you really mean it, because I might do something crazy like believe it." - Anonymous

I feel like the worst lie you could ever possibly say is "I Love You" if you don't mean it. With those three simple words, life branches... and if they are said with falsehood, the life they branch is evil and demeaning. Love isn't something you mess around with. You can have lust, casual relations, or even friends with benefits, but saying I Love You can send it in an undesired direction. People use the phrase to get out of an uncomfortable situation or even simple because they feel it needs to be reciprocated if it is said to them first... but its a lie that keeps people up awake at night dreaming about what your children will look like and when they'll meet your parents. i love you is something that will change a person's life forever and its best not to mess with it.

"Every person is a new door to a different world." - Six Degrees of Separation

Every person in the world see the world in a different light, and perceives the world to be a different place. The beauty about meeting new people is that they can expose you to exactly what they see. It can open your eyes to things to new ideas, hopes, dreams, and opportunities. You may even discover something about yourself that you never knew before. Different people bring out different aspects of yourself. With one friend you may be more prone to being reserved and self reflective, while with another you may be outgoing and flamboyant. Thats what friends are for. the allow you to be yourself when you are not alone. It sounds simple but it takes time and effort to master.

"True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost." - Charles Caleb Colton

You go through life with no concern, until something concerns you. You don't have worries about money until you lose your job, you don't have health worries until you are diagnosed with a disease, and you don't have friend worries until one leaves. It sound cliche but the truth is, you never know what you have until its gone when you're talking about a friend. Everyone has experienced the depression of a friend moving or drifting away. Its never easy and makes you appreciate all the time you spent together (even if you're angry). But every experience is a lesson learned, correct? The next time you find a friend that you can call 'close you your heart' you will hold them there.

“Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death” -Albert Einstein

Learning is one of the most important things you can do in life. You begin to learn as soon as you are born, and you don't stop learning until the day you die. Whether it be academics of simple life lessons a person is constantly moving forward and growing wiser with every second. It doesn't matter if a person is considered intelligent or dumb, they have learned the same lessons that you have. they have learned what is expected of them, they learn what hurts physically and mentally, they learn the same lessons... what differs if whether they choose to listen to them or not.

“If you're gonna be two-faced at least make one of them pretty.” ― Marilyn Monroe

girls have a reputation of being two faced bitches, and a lot of the time that reputation isn't too far from the truth. we are a gender of gossiping, lying, backstabbing, and self-centered people. granted, there are a few good girlies out there, but who stops to notice them when you can have a genuine Barbie doll with attitude. These girls aren't dumb though, they are smart. they know how to manipulate the people around them so that they can rule the hallways they walk through. there is no need to be nice to others when you have a band of loyal followers to serve you grapes from a silver platter... and a line of replacements at the door just incase one of them screws up. Whats beautiful about these girls is that once they step outside their classrooms into the real world their power suddenly is equal to the dust in the wind.

"Because thou must not dream, thou need not despair." -Matthew Arnold

Even though fairy tales tell people that a dream come true is the ideal future, it isn't completely true. sometimes people's dreams are corrupt and cause more harm that good, even if they have the best intentions. what may be ideal for one person, may be someone's hell. You never know, what a person may think is their ideal may turn out to be their own hell. Be careful the next time you wish on a shooting star, at 11:11, a four leaf clover, or even the candles on your birthday... you may end up with a 'not so happily ever after'.

"Only your real friends tell you when your face is dirty."

A real friend is never afraid of hurting your feelings in a time of need, or when the truth needs to be told. Especially those moments when there is something on your face or something caught in your teeth. A friend will sit politely not saying anything while you make a fool out of yourself telling jokes with a giant booger hanging out of your face. A real friend will slip you a tissue and let you continue on with the punch lines. The 'friend' isn't necessarily bad, she/he is for the most part just being polite, doesn't want to hurt your feelings, or too shy to say anything about it. The 'true friend' on the other hand has your back through think and thin, even when the situation gets messy... like the tomato sauce smeared on your face.

"It is far easier to make war than peace." -Georges Clemenceau

It takes less effort to be mean than nice. It takes less effort to be a bystander then be a contributor. It takes less effort to frown than smile. so what not go through life being a frowning, mean, bystander? because just because something is easier, doesn't mean its better. If you simply but a little more effort into all your actions in life, the outcome may be something much more enjoyable. Its sort of similar to talking to your family about what birthday present you want. If you man up and tell them exactly what would make you happy, you will be happy. If you say the easiest answer "i don't know", you'll end up with a bunch of socks and a gift card.

"Beauty fades, dumb is forever" -Judge Judy.

There is a reason we pay an arm and a leg to go to college, to learn. When you learn you become smart, when you are smart, there are countless opportunities for you. It is true that beauty opens doors, but how far does it truly get you? With age your looks will without doubt fade, but it takes knowledge a longer time to do so. You could have all the clothes in the world, you could have perfect hair 24/7, you could be an expert at batting your eyelashes to get what you want... but if you can't back up your beauty with brains, you won't be around for long.

"Every life has one true-love snapshot." - Mitch Albom

No matter who you are or what your life has played out as, everyone has had a "true-love snapshot". That defining moment that never seems to leave your mind no matter how many years threaten to remove it. You may not realize it at the time, but that moment changes your life. You compare everything to that moment, and hold the world to its standards. Whether you shared that moment with your husband, your ex, or even a best friend your mind has captured it. The best part about these snapshots is that the color never fades and the edges never fold or crease. You will remember in perfect time the emotions you felt and how fast your heart beat.

"They were two, they had adored each other, there was nothing but that." -Les Miserables

A couple is at its basics; to people who love each other. nothing more, nothing less. There should be no outside influence allowed to spoil its purity. People shouldn't consider money, class, age, gender, appearance, or even other people's opinions when dealing with their heart's partner. Its so rare to see love in its true form because the world gets in the way. Things such as jealousy always find a way to creep into love and destroy it where it stands. People need to find a way to tune out the noise that distracts you from the real point of a relationship, love.

"I'm so afraid of falling down, I am living on my knees." - Kevin Connolly

When you live life in fear, theres no hope for happiness. In everything, it takes an act of bravery (no matter how big or small) for any outcome to be positive. You have to be brave to say the first "hello" when making a friend, you have to be brave in order to show up to a party alone, you must be brave when someone is looking up to you... sooner or later it becomes a habit. If you live in fear, you end up not living at all. you watch chances and opportunities pass you by without ever realizing your full potential.

"It takes a long time to grow an old friend." - John Leonard

BFF is a very short abbreviation for a very long meaning. It takes years to find a best friend, and even longer to grow that 'one of a kind' connection. Once it is made, you could never regret it. A best friend is something we all hope of having one day if you don't already. It can be beautiful and wonderful at the same time as challenging and troublesome. Just like any other relationship it's not a walk in the park. it takes dedication and commitment to make it perfect, and every now and then you still may run into a bump in the road you need to work on. In the end it will be worth everything you put into it.

"You don't realize just how many things remind you of a person until they become someone you no longer wish to remember."

Everything serves as a reminder when you don't want to remember. You wake up in the morning and the sunlight coming through your window starts your day off with a solemn memory. You fall asleep replaying memories you fought so hard to remove. This pattern continues until one day you're finally driven crazy... or you forget. No matter what something is in the world it always comes to and end, and so does suffering. When this ends new doors will open to you that could eventually lead to new and wonderful memories that you can play in your mind when you wake up or fall asleep.

"A real friend is someone who could be crying her eyes out, and still asks how you are" -jacqueline kelly

You know you have a true friend when they can put all their feelings and troubles aside and focus on you in your time of need. For a best friend you would put everything aside just to help them. For a best friend you'd make an hour long drive jus to catch up on girl talk. For a best friend you'd talk for hours about their problems. For a best friend... you'd do anything. they are an extension of you, and an extension of your family. He or she is the person you choose to spend your time with even though you have no true obligations with... but you do it anyways. Having a best friend is a wonderful thing.
